It's All About You Interview with Adrianne Betz, Little Adi Co Founder

Adrianne Betz is the Designer, Blogger and Mama who founded the super cool US brand Little Adi Co. Little Adi Co offers fun and fashionable slogan Tee's for both Mama's and their little ones, and is especially known for their 'Raising My Tribe' Tee's. Having previously worked for Baby Gap and A&F Adrianne has used her experience to grow a super successful brand of her very own whilst growing a beautiful family which is truly inspirational.

We asked this super hard working Mama to complete the 'It's all about you' interview to find out more about what makes her tick.

My favorite evening out, look:

My favorite pair of skinny jeans, a cute top, (actually washing my hair and putting in some curls), and my favorite sandals or heels.

My favorite staying in look:

leggings, oversized sweatshirt, and knee socks

Tired mama style tip:

dry shampoo, always moisturize, and if you're leaving the house, force yourself into a pair of your favorite jeans instead of sweats or leggings. It will always make you look more pulled together than you feel.

Palm print or florals?

I’m a sucker for a floral in a pretty palette

Flamingos or pineapples?

Pineapples

Vibrant fun colors or cool monochrome?

Cool monochrome - My entire life is in blacks, grays, and neutrals.

Parenting rule you’ve thrown out the window

No screen time. I have two kids - not really sure how people shower or get through a meal at a restaurant without it. But of course, all in moderation.

Last time you had a full night's sleep (over 7 hours):

Luckily my kids have slept through the night pretty early on, so I would say as recently as this week. Trust me, I do not take it for granted. I’ve had my share of sleepless nights with two babies 14 months apart.

The first thing you do once the kids hit the hay:

Pour myself a glass of wine and cuddle up with my husband to watch a show together.

If motherhood were a cocktail it would be called:

Bitter Sweet

Has a hangover since having a child ever been worth it?

NEVER. It’s also not ever necessary. If I pop 3 advil and down a full glass of water before going to sleep, it usually works great and I wake up pretty normal the next morning ready to face the day with two kids.

The favorite thing your kid/s says:

My 4 year old is on a “REALLY?!” kick. Whenever his brother does something annoying, he’ll say, “REALLY?! Hudson!” Or the other night when he was watching a movie that showed the characters fishing in the clouds he said, “Oh come on…REALLY?! You can’t fish in the clouds.” There’s so many things that come out of his mouth that are beyond his 4 years. I wish I kept a journal to remember them all! But both of my kids just say things daily that are hysterical.

24hrs without the kid/s, what’s your plan?

That’s a tough one! Maybe take a little staycation with my husband or spend the day out with no time limits. Eat out at a nice restaurant that we normally can’t take the kids. That would all be such a luxury!

The essential item for motherhood you can't live without:

A bedtime routine. I would not have my sanity still intact if we never developed such a good bedtime routine that consistently gets my kids in bed by 7pm every night. We've been pretty strict with it since they were babies and it’s the only way I’ve survived.

Would you put on makeup to go and buy makeup wipes?

YES. I could never be seen out in public without a little makeup. I wear it really natural, but my concealer is life. If I'm really not feeling well enough to care, I make sure to have a big pair of sunglasses on - even in the store.

Most embarrassing motherhood moment:

I would say anytime my kids have thrown a complete tantrum in the middle of a store and I look totally inadequate or when their energy level is at an all-time high and they don’t listen when we’re out in public. I hate feeling out of control and I hate the judgemental stares.

Mama superhero power you would choose:

Super speed. Wouldn’t it be amazing to fold all of the laundry in 5 minutes flat, or wash the dishes in seconds, or clean up all the rooms and clutter in under a half an hour? I totally NEED that. It takes me forever to do anything because I have to stop and start so many times.

What do you wish you’d been told about motherhood beforehand?

Your life will never be the same again. No matter where you go, what you do, you’re never alone. Your mind is consumed with thoughts of your children. The days of care-free vacations, a romantic dinner or a quiet spa day are now filled with thoughts of what your kids are doing and if they’re okay. I don’t think a mother ever truly relaxes after she has kids.

Three words to describe yourself:

Realistic, Ambitious, and Down to Earth

Exciting upcoming plans:

Visiting family for the holidays and planning a winter getaway in the mountains for December. It’s been so long since we’ve done either and we can’t wait!

Why do Mama’s Rule?

Mamas are the true meaning of a well-rounded woman. We’re freaking rockstars. I think this quote sums it up best: “A mother’s love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible.” We mothers do the impossible every single day. When we think that we can’t possibly do it anymore, we do, because we can, and by that love and dedication we empower our children to go out and do the impossible as well. I mean that alone, deserves all the praise.
